I’ve been there a few times and the gibbons live on the big Island, but I can only find one of them in your pictures sat up in a tree in the eleventh photo.
The park is a nice place for a wander about that very few people seem to bother visiting.

Nice photos Jockey, makes me want to go there and lie in the grass and contemplate the sky.... do gibbons bite?

I like that park and the Thai restaurant near the entrance is excellent in quality and price. :thumb:

Quite a few Thais use it for exercise about 5pm. I go there nearly every day with my dog. The other photo with the Gibbon is 5 from the end.

HHFarang - They can't get over the water to reach you but if they did they might bite. Wild pigs live on the 'island' too and there a few monitor lizards to be seen.

Very nice - thank you. Looks a nice place to visit.

Looking at the pictures it made me feel that I wanted to return to Thailand now - unfortunately, Mrs BB has decreed no holiday in 2009, so it'll have to be 2010

It's on the west side of Petchkasem road just as you leave Cha-Am coming towards Hua Hin.
