Hi!

I've heard thats there is a "Premium outlet" mall near Cha-Am.

How are the prices there?

Go through Cha-am towards Bangkok. Once you are on the Bangkok road it's about 3 k's on your left hand side.
Some nice reasonably priced branded clothing, sports wear, golf shops etc.

It must be around 30 kms from Hua Hin. I'm not sure any 'bargains' you might get there will be worth the taxi fare there and back (+ waiting time). Only guessing, but I suspect you're looking at 600bt + from central HH, maybe more.
This is the way

I would guess (not sure) that you could get a Bangkok mini-bus to drop you there quite cheaply. Not sure how you would get back without a taxi though.

I think theres a orange bus go to Phetchaburi and a blue bus from Pranburi to Bangkok but can't help you were to take them,I think it's the kind of busses you just wave your hand and they stop,so expect to use some time for the journey.

DM...There is an Outlet Mall not far past Santorini and a lot better than the one you described near Petchaburi. As ever only my opinion

I have shopped there a few times and have been pleased with the selection especially golf and sports wear.

High by Thai standards, but cheaper than the UK.

Thanks everyone.

I guess I'll do my shopping somewhere else, unless a better way to get there will come up :)

Is it any good for 'fat-boy' size clothing.
Need to start exercising but only have jeans/trousers so would like to buy some shorts.

I visited the Premium Outlet this morning, more for somewhere new to go than expecting anything. Good place to pick up discounted, big brand sportswear (Nike, Addidas etc.) but not that cheap. Biggest size they had was XL (Thai XL) so not a place to get 'fat boy' shorts :)
We arrived at 10:30 and the opening time is meant to be 9am, we were outnumbered 10:1 by security staff.
