IMHO, in about 10 years if the world doesn't blow itself up first, I can see HH and Cha Am being similar to the Pattaya area in size and scope. Pete
You gotta be joking me!!...... Cha-am ending up like Pattaya within 10 years..... jeez, I perish the thought.

I take all the points about the "nightlife" attractions in Thailand but not everyone wants that kind of nighlife - and in fact some people want to just keep well away from it.

So, why not stick to some level of zoning? Whether it be in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket or Cha-am.....

But please zone Cha-am as a nice quiet little town for people to relax and chill.... with a very subdued nightlife but a nice experience all the same!!

PS..... i have "heard" about a car ferry linking hh/ca to pattaya.... apparantly its in the plans..... so if this DOES go ahead maybe I will be eating my own words above!!...

Please no!

Today is my daddy's bithday! please if you see him (he is the rather jolly chap that you will find in a certain Irish bar in Cha-am ) give him a big hug and if you feel like it a kiss from his little girl on the other side of the world.

Slightly worried about the sit out there today and the BBC are not giving out much info.

However my dad informs me there is nothing to worry about except his birthday party with over 200 people expected may not be alowed to happen. Lets hope they get permission and the show will go on! who said nothing happens in Cha-am...

Cha Am's night life is a cross between One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (without Murphy), and Belsen. The mostly empty suicidal bars occasionally have old miserable farts inside them, staring like zombies into the void - an elephant's graveyard, the clocks ticking on the wall waiting for death to go away. A pool ball clinks against another on a rickity table that's covered in hairdust and cloth holes.

Have you ever been to Cha Am?
Your comment is a grotesque parody of reality. However it is quieter than Pattaya and the ladies are bo uglier than those of Hua Hin.

Darwinian, sorry but what is the typo; are you saying that they are both uglier than those of Hua Hin?
