It's quite a few furlongs from Huahin and there are quite a few ferlangs here. Nice quiet place with some nice bars and people.

Hi Onlyme

Would you kindly advise:

1. The approx travelling time to and from HH to ChaAm? And would there be a big difference in the traveling time during weekends and rush hours?
(Assuming there are 'rush hours')

2. The approx cost of a taxi (or whatever transport) between the two places?

Thanks and

To be honest, four - five years ago Cha Am was a pretty dull and quiet place me think.
However, nowadays it's a much better place and you may even have some fun there as well.
As Onlyme says: "it's a quiet place with some nice bars and people".

They do have a loooooong beach front and a few nice restaurants and bars as well.
Absolutely worth a visit while staying in Hua Hin.

P.s.
A lot of Norwegians live and works there (if you can tolerate them).
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

I've heard the Thais pay 300 baht for a taxi. I am thinking of Cha Am over HH for reasons unknown. I guess after living in Pattaya a crazy 4 years now, I'm dying for a change to something peaceful maybe even more peaceful than HH.

Any guidance from those in the know? Thank you.
