first thought about hua hin after many good reports....

What hotel do you all recommend near the action and can afford a good place!

Hi Jimmy and welcome to the board.
I haven't personally stayed in the Marriott so can't rate it. The best in town IMO is Sofitel, close to the action also. Hilton is okay but I find it a little impersonal, just a big tower block really. All depends on what you're after.

Guest friendly accomodations

This is my first post. I've been to Thailand twice and I love the country and its people.
I'm coming back to Thailand in Feb. 2004. It seems that Hua Hin is a better alternative to Ko Samui.
I need to know the "guest friendly" hotels, beachouses, etc. and anything else that is related to "sanuk."
