Never stayed there but sounds like a scam. Why don't you try telling the duty manager that unless they provide access to the CCTV you are going to the tourist police or simply go there anyway? Not sure how helpful they would be, but worth a try.

Grassman well done for the heads up you might have saved some other unsuspecting tourist from getting fleeced and having a bad holiday.

If it was you that has lost money i would try the girl friends uncle is a high ranking cop routine and tell the other patrons to beware.

Thats very interesting they are part of the Compass group .I had 700 AUD stolen from the Aspen Suites last year which is also part of the Compass group .Same story Manager only one with code and sorrrrry cant see CCTV .
This was an inside job and has happened many times at this hotel.I kept hounding the Compass Group Head Office in BKK , till they evetually told me that they would sue me for slander .My comment was bring it on .
Im back in Thailand soon and will be visiting Compass Group head office .Would be interested to know the Manager's name there as I wonder if they have been transfered to Hua Hin

Try contacting this guy "Rahul Gupta, Manager at Citin Loft Hua Hin", he is the one answering replies on Tripadvisor at present. Seem to be getting fairly good reviews but nothing mentioning missing cash

I stayed there with Grassman and a few other mates on a golfing trip , the manager is Indian but did not get his name. I hope he was not the manager at the other Compass Group hotel mentioned. We have never had any problems like this before the new manager. After confronting him with this, he should have called the police to investigate but all we got was denial and maybe we misplaced or spent the money and did not remember what we did with the money. So next time we will keep our money in our pocket. The food has gone off as well since he's taken over but all the other staff are very happy and helpful.

Kirkboy & the rest of our group think location cost ($45-50 Aus) a night for the type of room is the best in town gees 30,000 for 25 nights!!! But a change is needed ... Suggested hotels of silimar price & room standard without a thief stealing all our money would be good for our oct trip ..

Try Jings, they are a sponsor on the Forum, do not think they have a pool though

They have the use of a near by pool although i have never checked it out.

Peter and Jing are really nice people, for budget accommodation its fine, and right in the centre of the night life.
