Large beers at the bars mentioned are 80-140 THB depending on brand so considerably cheaper than the town centre.

Hi Mick - I was being slightly facetious, not at all with you, but at the idea that anyone staying at the Sheraton would be seriously concerned about the price of a bottle of Chang.
I'm sure you'll have a great time wherever you stay and wherever you drink!
And don't forget that there is life in Cha-am too.

dtaai-maai No problem what so ever never thought any thing bad ,booked through travel bag and flights alone would be £900+ each for a 17th dec depart from manchester so total for 21 nights in 5star B&B at 4k is fine by me i did say that i would sort out transfers my self from airport 300bht and to Hua Hin 2500bht well it was in march so i think im on a winner

It was said tongue in cheek tbh, 2500 ain't that bad if you've already booked one, there is quite a few threads knocking about if you haven't already booked however.
I reckon a Bangkok meter taxi would be about 1700 to the Sheraton, purely my estimation though.

Not sure about price from Bkk itself but as you are in Bkk for a few nights you should be able to negotiate a taxi for a good price. When I used to get taxis direct from the airport they were usually older knackered ones and went very slowly so make sure you book a modern vehicle if you book it yourself in Bkk.

Worth contacting the Sheraton first. Technically your package deal may not include transfer from Bkk to HH, but you have nothing to lose by asking politely.
