Apologies for the poor quality, and 3 similar photos, but I think we had the only 2 minutes of sun today while I was taking the photos.

As long as they open a restaurant like the Italian (Ciao) they had on the beach front, the wife and I will be more than happy. :D

The pics BigBoy posted, look impressive.
I seem to remember that there was a guard on the front gate that looked just like Benny Hill, when he saluted anyone that passed. :thumb:
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

It's still going to be a while yet - I'd guess they're aiming to have it opened for High Season (mid December), but that's only my uneducated guess.

I was stuck in a bit of a traffic jam as I drove past this evening. The structural work is mainly complete, and they're busily doing the cosmetic stuff now to make it into a quality hotel. It's looking pretty good.

Marriott to open new beach resort in Hua Hin
Marriott International has unveiled plans to launch a new beachfront resort in the Thai seaside town of Hua Hin.

Set to welcome its first guests this March, the new Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa is set on 3.5 hectares of beachfront land in Hua Hin, two hours’ drive south of Bangkok.

All of the 322 rooms and suites feature a private balcony or terrace, while the top floor suites also offer separate living and dining areas, kitchens and bars.

Facilities at the resort include a lagoon-style swimming pool, an adult-only pool, the Quan Spa, a 24-hour fitness centre, and extensive children’s facilities including a kid’s club, treehouse, kid’s pool and a water park with slides.

F&B options include the international Amber Kitchen with indoor and outdoor seating, the Big Fish & Bar seafood restaurant, a pool bar and a pastry shop. And for the MICE market, Hua Hin Marriott offers a ballroom, several other function rooms and outdoor event spaces.

It does look impressive, and I actually thought it had opened - I drive past most evenings, and it's well lit up.

I'm booked for a week March 22 -29th. Think it opens on the 15th

If anyone has any details on its state of completeness I'd love to get them. We are more than a little concerned it will still be somewhat of a construction zone when we get there

The hotel re-opened yesterday, and it's looking good. I don't think you have much to worry about - enjoy your stay.
