In room Internet (WiFi)

Post by VaioLord »

Does anyone know of any hotels in Hua Hin with in room internet access ? I hope to visit for a week and will need access to work for a few hours every day.

Not sure about WiFi but most of the bigger more reputable places will be able to arrange access in room for you.

Some of the smaller places often have a shared terminal for guest use however these are not very secure.

As long as you don't mind staying in a guesthouse, Tientong Guesthouse offers free wireless internet connection and they've got nice clean rooms for 200 to 500 Baht. [ URL removed by Admin ]

Thanks Mestizo,

That link a guest house would have been fine. I have just arrived in Pattaya as I could not risk going to Hua Hin without being able to get a reasonable place with internet. But next time I will try them out for sure.

Its becoming the new in-thing for all the new hotels and guesthouses!

Hopefully in the next five years it will become more of a standard thing to have rather than a luxury.

Had to remove that URL, dont mind the recommendation but we've already approached this place regarding promotion of their guesthouse on this website.

Direct question :-)

Post by VaioLord »

I am new to this board, so sorry if I ask a direct question but I am used to board on Bangkok, Pattaya, Khon Kaen etc...

It is not allowed for members to share information about businesses unless thoses companies are paying the board management ?

I don't want to get banned for asking but I just want to know so am clear on how the board is run.

Thanks

The line we draw here is , as Lev stated, the recommendation was OK (so the guesthouse's name stayed), but the URL/link wasn't. We view the latter as free advertising (even though I'm sure that wasn't your intention).

As an additional explanation to what lomu said, you can always send a PM with links to any member in response to their question - it is the general advertising without being a sponsor that is not allowed.

Sorry, my bad. I understand that your website is a business and that you don't work for free, and honestly didn't realize it was forbidden to include a URL, as this is a website that seems to be aimed at providing useful information to those who seek it. Providing a URL was simply an attempt to provide the poster with a link if they were interested, rather than try to give more details (contact info, location, etc.) in the reply itself.

No problem, some we allow some we don't. Its down to the discretion of the moderator. Some places we have contacted and have blatantly refused to even entertain the idea of sponsorship on this board so we don't see why we should help their businesses flourish.

stayed here two weeks ago, my gf didnt like the place really, neither did I. the WIFI only works in the main area, the new place being created is NOT good, nor has WIFI.

Was give a room in the "newer" rooms first.

next to the railway: noisy, aircon loud, bed to hard, Bathroom not up to standards.

opted for a room in the existing building, was better, but still not what I wanted, but needed the inroom wifi.

kept the room for just this purpose during my stay, but opted for a room in a 1200bt hotel in town that had pool, nearedr to downtown, and better rooms.. My GF loved this approach.

I will not stay in TT guesthouse again...

Where I am staying at Baan Duang Kaew has fast free 24 hour room access to the internet via the hotels own server and a USB connection.

Its good here as well!
