Hotel/resort north HH - south Cha-am

Post by dtaai-maai »

Looking for a decent hotel/resort on the beach north of HH and South of Cha-am for a friend - short notice, he's coming Wednesday.

Likes his comfort, but not a millionaire. Say 3-5k ish per night.

Have considered:
Dusit Thani
Anantara
Veranda
Imperial
Grand Pacific Sovereign

Any more ideas?

I've only used it as a day guest, but I like the Veranda - great pool and nice beach area.

Thank you both. He'd rejected Veranda on the basis of some bad reviews, but has changed his mind on the basis of yours. A heavy burden of responsibility now lies upon your shoulders...

It has the added advantage of not being far from our house. And he managed to book a room for $120 per night for 4 nights. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Take a look at Springfield-At-Sea, it's just north of the Veranda.

I would consider Cher Resort. Since the Courtyard changed to a Novotel, I will no longer receive Marriott Platinum Elite benefits. I wandered around the area and had tours of some of the places. I will stay at Cher this year. When I last checked, Springfield had horrible reviews. I stayed at Cera Resort last year. NOt too bad, but Cher will definitely be an upgrade. Veranda was out of our price range...was more than US$120.

He was very happy with the Veranda at $120 per night and will probably stay there again (working in Bkk) - he had a quick look at Springfield while there and wasn't particularly impressed.
