I wonder why no answers, maybe because you do not give any criteria. Married, single, kids, budget, beach, swimming pool, high rise, low rise, sea view, wheelchair access. Don't worry we can guess it all.

Try Baannilraith? Petkasem road opposite soi 78.
Very nice rooms, good breakfast, quiet and good free parking.
Can book through Booking.com, don't know about Agoda as I won't use it.

I'm sure for the really central area, it has to be the Centara.

Not that I've stayed there, but the one in Khon Kaen is excellent.

^^ agreed but the OP said at reasonable price and not Hiton! Prices here make the Hilton seem very cheap. Great Hotel and worth it in my books but if on a budget you are best to look elsewhere

I noticed the latter had some good deals going yesterday i.e. buy 3 nights, get one free and buy 5 nights, get 2 free.
