Hua Hin Accommodation - Renting a House

Post by ryryguy »

Hello all,

I am new to the forum and wanted to see if anyone could add to what I have found concerning renting a condo or house for a short period of time 3-6 months etc.

To who might be interested after spending a good amount of time looking into renting a house in Hua Hin and surrounding areas. http://www.huahin-property.com/ seems to be the only realator that has a good number of listings for houses to rent. These ranging in price from 8,000 baht to 25.000 or more per month. Most are furnished and the tenant so on pays the electric/water etc. per month.

I currently reside in Bangkok but will be moving down to Hua Hin in about a month to rent a house for 3 to 6 months. Does anyone else have any links/realators offering condos or houses for rent. Have also looked into the classifieds in the local papers there but at the time their were not too many listed at least in my price range.

Thanks

renting a house in Hua Hin

If you have already read my "looking for a house" rant I apologise but here it is anyway:

I would suggest two things:

Take a Thai person with you or preferably get them to make contact. Any house going for 25 grand per month is aimed at two week or monthly holiday makers, if anything they don't even want long termers.

Drive around yourself to get a better "feel" for the area and pick up contact details which are usually posted on the gate of the property.
