Its quite a way along Soi 88, I would say about 3 kms from the beach. I use 88 to ride/drive home quite often and never had any problems.

I know it has had an eventful past as the property developer got shot there:

Im interested in the one with the apartments,i think they use them for short and long term rentals as well as a few for purchase, they look quite nice on the net,i'm a bit scared now after reading a few comments as to whether it has a nice family atmosphere...........im hoping dressing up for dinner doesn't involve wearing kevlar

It's roughly 3.8 kms from Ave. 88 to beach, give or take couple of hundred meters.

The very minimum due diligence before committing yourself would be to ask around in HH. Visit a few bars, meet a few long-time residents and rent for a couple of months before buying.

Do not let anyone ever rush you into anything in Hua Hin!

Having lived in and rented properties on Avenue88(1) for 6 years the comment by scotian2012 was completely incorrect the developer is still building in Hua Hin and no shooting has ever taken place around or in this site. the reply by jingjoe just shows how ignorant ill informed comments, can create responses like " wearing kevla for dinner" which impact on the site and people who live there. Grimreaper I know you wanted no more discussion on this thread but scotians comment needed to be addressed as its untrue. cheers
