That post of mine you guys are referring to is over a year old and was in reference to the price of homes here vs the U.S. It wasn't a complaint about Hua Hin in general, just making a point about the cost of property here which many seem to think is cheap.

Crystal Lagoons Corp., the patented technology developer of giant crystalline lagoons
the development which will include 90 luxury bespoke villas that will retain traditional Thai features. Ranging in price from $1.2mn up to $2.5mn, each four bedroom home
I would be very interested in a "luxury villa" for those prices! Or is that just the yearly lease?

According to the sign outside, they start at 40 million baht which seems a silly amount of money to live on a housing estate on soi 112.

This sounds like a similar project here that is even bigger.

All property developments look good on websites, particularly those ones that make it look like your house is going to be surrounded by Kew gardens when in actual fact, it'll be about a metre from your neighbour.

Now saying lagoon finished by December...

"PACE set to open Asia’s largest man-made clearwater lagoon"

"PACE Development Corporation Plc, says that it plans to complete Asia’s largest clearwater lagoon by December this year at a cost of Bht 600 million. Hua Hin Mega Lagoon Project Gets Partner
One of Thailand's most ambitious resort real estate projects, the MahaSamutr in Hua Hin has teamed up with a technology partner.

Pace Development has named Crystal Lagoons Corporation to assist in the creation of a massive clearwater feature lagoon in the project.

Highlighting real estate offerings including a beach club and luxury villas, the lagoon will be the core component.

It's expected that the man-made lagoon will offer a clean and environmentally sound solution in a scaleable model.
