Long term rentals in Cha Am

Post by simonsig »

Hi,

I am Simon living in Bangsaray just down the road from Pattaya

I have been reading a lot of the topics and am coming to have a look at Cha Am with the thought to move in September

Could somebody please give me some tips on long term rentals at the cheaper end of the scale At present I am renting for B 9000 Two bedroom little house furnished with kitchen

So far on the internet I have not seen anything below B 18,500 but that is the same with the internet in my area
Are there cheaper places for rent and how would I go about finding them

Any feedback greatly appreciated
Thanks and regards
Simon

What you tend to find are that the properties that are listed with the agents/on the Internet start at 15,000+ but if you drive around you will find properties at 10,000 and sometimes less. Best advice is to get some transport and spend a few days travelling around the area and hopefully you'll find somewhere - doing it this way, it's best to have somebody with you who can speak Thai as a lot of the properties will be from Thai people who may not speak English.

There isn't the same volume of availability in Cha Am as their is in HH, but you should still be able to find something reasonable for around 10,000 +/-

Why the move from Bang Saray. I have been looking at a new condo in Bang Saray on the internet. What do you think of Bang saray. is it worth investing in?

Hi

I have been in Bangsaray for Nine months and find it really good but at the moment possibly too small for me and finding rentals is becoming a problem ( prices between B 10,000 and B 40,000 ) come on the market today and gone tomorrow and this naturally means prices are on the rise Hence I thought it may be a good opportunity to look elsewhere.
The above rental situation means that investment opportunity is good and I see Bangsaray growing rapidly over the next years
A lot of expats down here fed up with Pattaya and a certain population that have taken over Jomtien who really to be polite are very unpleasant
This also means a lot of people moving to Bangsaray

Hope this sorts your question out

Have a look on the notice board, on the outside of Okay Supermarket.

There are usually a few rentals advertised there, and certainly sub-15K, if I remember well.
Only the crumbliest, flakiest Winkie....
