La Bua is being developed by the two Danish guys who own the 2nd Home property agency in town. I bought my condo through them and they also run the rental program in my condo. I find they are great guys, just stop in the office or go out to La Bua and talk with them and see for yourself.

Dear all,
I have a couple of friends who have purchased villas in the La Bua Resort. It now looks like the whole resort is falling apart.

Does anyone know what is going on ?

The project will file for bankruptcy shortly. You just need to follow the news in the future and you will get all the information you need. 2 of the 4 partners have from the very beginning cheated their own parthers, customers, suppliers and so on. If hard to believe but true.

Oh Well, It's just 1 more residential area that will probably become a no-go slum.
You should see all of the apartment buildings in Bangkok that are falling apart and are quickly becoming or already are trashy slums.

If what your claiming is correct I hope that the workers there are are treated fairly, as many have commitments and families relying on them. They generally survive on a month to month existence financially.

I fear the workers are stuffed but biggest losers will be the sub contractors and not forgetting those who have paid their deposits and stage payments. Hopefully the major creditors can find a developer to finish it off.

I heard the developer only agrees to continue building if owners pay 12.5% more than the contract amount.
Who knows, now it's 12.5%, next month more... Development looks like a huge mess.

Well... Story on the street is developing and builders in Hua Hin are trying to keep it concealed. Apparently the two Danish developers have been robbed big time bit the 2 other developers.. No big news out yet but will come soon surely.
Sad story for all,
M

Is the Labua being discussed here the place on the way to Banyan that just appears to have a dirt track heading to it, with the foliage either side overgrowing? If so, is that the back entrance?

Thanks, I was going to have a nose around, curiosity and the cat and all that, but decided against it.

Story is developing everyday. The owners are (Mod edit: no names on this thread please you have already been warned) As it stands now two of them cheated the two others and ran off with the $$$ on kick back commissions. No slander, no one knows what is true at the moment except 60 families are left in limbo.

Not too difficult to find the names, click information tab and meet the team on their website.
