Best Estate
Best Estate
Nominations please for the best estate to live on in Hua Hin and the reasons why. How important is a bar and a shop and full time security. I know tropical hill was plagued with burglaries recently.

I think Norseman that Roberto purely wanted a reasonable answer to a reasonable question not your usual one line glib answer to anyone who displeases you because his posts are not always to your liking and with over 700 posts in one year you certainly love to dish it out but hey you do know a good bit about snakes but hang on to your broom handle as one may just swing back and bite you one day

Thank you Digger.
What do you mean; a post of not my liking?
Sorry pal, then you are wrong.
Most people in this forum are great people with good posts.
You can't expect that a person with english as a second language will write as good as they who have english as their first language.
I still would like to know what roberto meant by asking if a shop or bar was important. In the living area or what?

If you like good and interesting.... sorroundings like 7/11 and bars and shops then make it easy and look after your dreamlocation first and after the house or condo later.
I agrre that Tropical Hill location is not a good location for me but probably for some others , good luck and find the real road.

shop and bar
Of course I don't want a shop or bar in my living room, but I do get fed up driving everywhere. The estates out of town are Ok but it would be nice to be able to walk to a bar or a shop rather than always drive. If you have spent a lot of time commuting before moving to Hua hin then driving is not that attractive a prospect every day. I don't want to drink every day but when I fancy a beer and some company to be able to walk to a bar or clubhouse is, for me, something I like to do. Equally I like to walk and given the heat in Hua hin its nice to be able to have a cooling drink at the end or in the middle of the walk. I hoped rather than drive to every estate in Hua Hin I might get some ideas to help me narrow the search. In Hua Hin there's almost too many choices and I don't want to spend my time driving from estate to estate. When I phone or call at the agents they simply advise whichever estate they are involved in and always tell me the other estates are badly built, equally most estates that are half finished have a grand plan for a clubhouse or shop or bar/restaurant, lighting, pool etc etc but everyone who has ever bought off plan in spain knows that the promises are rarely fulfilled. I hoped to get some solid ideas and then look for myself when the field is narrowed down a little.
