Very sad outcome, I'm afraid and a devastated household, as Whisky died this morning.

She had eaten a bundle of thread - a loose jumble rather than a reel.

Way too much emotion invested in these dogs, but what can you do, eh?

Sorry to hear. We lost our long time dog a couple months ago, more emotions than I thought

I have no words. I was thinking all morning about reading a happy follow-up post from you. Not to be. I'm grieving with you for sure.

I've almost always had dogs in pairs and if one goes at an older age, it takes a month or more for the other to become used to the loneliness. Being that yours are still pups more or less, hopefully a shorter adjustment for him. Maybe think about getting him another buddy in due course.

Keep the faith and I hope you and your wife are OK. Pete :( :( :(

Very sad news DM. As was Pete, I was looking forward to some good news today - sadly not to be.

That's really sad DM - I too was hoping for better news after talking to you yesterday.

We do do feel for you both - we've been through similar tragedies, as you know.

Whisky was a gorgeous dog - our heartfelt condolences to you and Bee.

DM: You and Bee did everything you could to give Whiskey a lovely home, and take care of her when she was sick. There was nothing more you could have done. It doesn't, however, take away the heartache of losing a fur kid.
