Hi georgy

Yes, our new place is now open and staffed.

At the moment, it is functioning as our booking office and reception point for donations to Mercy House.

We have also just received the first rebuilt computer for the orphanage from buksida - many thanks!!

We will also start serving drinks/breakfasts/snacks within the next few days and eventually develop in to a beachside restaurant over the next couple of months.

The place is called Crepes & Cruises and is on Naresdamri Road opposite the Pinnochio ice cream parlour (which is next door to Monsoon) approx. 250 m from the Buffalo Tavern.

The manageress is called Tan.

I'm pretty sure the 100,000 targeted by sealcat hasn't been reached yet, otherwise I think we would have heard about it.

I haven't received any further cash donations, through redzonerocker sent me a pm so he can send a donation via paypal.

As already mentioned, our office is now open in HH so non-cash donations can be left there.

I was afraid that the amount might not yet be raised and really hope that HH community can rally round to get it there.
Will be back in Sept. and shall call around to see what else me & the wife can do.

Barrys do you not take cash donations - you say you are open for non-cash donations?

Hi moja

We will take cash donations, of course.

I would suggest we do it this way:

1. Non-cash donations can be left at the office/restaurant with any of the staff.
There is always someone who speaks English on duty. Would be good though to phone and let us know that you're going to do it or have just done it.

2. Cash donations:
Please phone me first. I will then make sure that myself or Tan (she's my gf and the manager in HH, plus she has by far the closest relationship with Mercy House) is there. We will then issue you with a receipt for the money.
Do NOT simply leave money with whoever happens to be there.
