Reliable Hairdressers

Post by Feline »

I am sure this question must have been asked hundreds of times, but an update would be appreciated.

Where in HH is there a good hairdresser who is experienced in blonde colour. More especially colouring new growth roots. I have heard some horror stories and personally would like to avoid similar experience. Short of going up to a blonde person in the street/shops and asking them (which could be embarrassing especially if they are true blonde!) any advice given would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
I have seen a blonde woman having her roots done with foils in the Market Village, on the top floor. Sorry I can't remember what the salon was called but I noticed because I'm blonde too and My hubby and I are moving over to HH in December so I was particularly interested to see this lady having her roots done.
Hope this helps :)

Thanks Davychez for your input. I have only moved to HH last month although been on hol quite a few times over the years so until now I haven't had a problem with hairdressers. I believe the shop you are talking about is Pro Cut in the Market Village and intended to call in when I am passing to find out what they can do. Will keep you posted.

dtaai-maai, thanks for your input also every little helps. Generally I find that guys go to little corner shops and pay next to nothing for haircuts etc. I am a great believer in "you pay for what you get"!

Thats great, if you can let me know i'd really appreciate it. It wont be long after we've moved over that i'll need a hairdresser so would be interested to know if this one is okay. Yes it is Pro Cut, just couldn't remember at all.
Look forward to hearing how it goes :)

I haven't had any luck in Hua Hin. Tried every single one of the big salons and they all did a horrible job. I now go to Bangkok once a month to get my color done. It's a pain, but at least I have a great salon that does an amazing job.

I now do my own colour and go to Bangkok every couple of months for a cut; I have had some disasters in HH.

Go to the salon inside Sofitel Silom ( BKK ) for blond highlights. French hairdresser and great service. Not found a single one in HH that can manage to do it properly....not even the shop upstairs inside MV.

I have lived in Hua Hin for 7 years, but have always gone to Bangkok every 6 weeks to get my hair cut and coloured. Go to a great Scottish guy in Sukumvit, let me know if you want details.

My wife has been working as a hairdresser for 14 years. She has been living in NZ for the last 3 years. She says she knows how do do what you want. She and her sister have a small salon in Bon Gai, soi 88, across the railway line. PM if you are interested. Its not always a case of getting what you pay for as the flash salons in shopping malls have to charge more as they have higher overheads.

Hi

I know it is a while since you asked this question but have only just started on HHAD, even though been here 8 years.

Over the past 8 years I have tried many hairdressers and to be brutally honest they havent a clue what they are doing and that goes for the big salons in Market Village, i tried and they mucked it up, ended having to get my hair cut once again.

I have finally found a place which I have now used 4 times, colouring that is and roots plus a good cut.

Q2-CUT - It is on the main petchakasem road, coming south, straight on main traffic lights, past the Shopping Mall then next turning park (if you can) and the shop is on the main road just after the red bank.

I have been to Alleycat's wife's salon twice now for a cut and once for a colour and I have been most satisfied each time.
