Christian Church Services

Post by thebears »

I seem to remember reading on this forum some time ago that a Church was due to be constructed in Hua Hin.

Can anyone please advise if this is the case, or otherwise if there are Church services elsewhere. Thanks so much.

The 'Power of Love Church' has been in Hua Hin for a few years. Started in Pattaya where it is now very successful.
They meet every Sunday at 10.00am at the Hilton Hotel. My daughter has been christened there and is very much a supporter.
It's run by a guy called Andrew (a brit) who is devoted to what he sees as his mission. The church is multi-demonolation. Everyone is welcome.
They help every day in Hua Hin by delivering food and assistance to the people held in jail and distribute food to the poor.
Recently, they have bought land in Khou Takieb and are currently buildinga 'shelter' for homeless and disadvantaged children.
I would fully support what this church is trying to do. If you need any more info then please Pm me.

St Theresa's Church is the Catholic Church and is situated on Soi 88, they hold a service there at 1030 every Sunday. It is not at all like the UK Catholic Church and is more like the Filipino one but is inclusive of all.

Thank you HHTel, that's very helpful. I wonder if I was mistaken about the construction of another Church then. But never mind, this sounds very promising.

Thank you. Are there any Anglican members there? Normally we would not be able to take Communion in a Catholic Church.

When I was up Soi 94 a few weeks back, I noticed a church had popped up in the shop houses between Suey Vista and Oy Restaurant. No idea if its Christian though (I just assumed it was).

Yes there are Anglican members there and as far as I know they are welcome to take communion. I am Anglican and go there but I do not take communion but that is my choice.

Hi, I am coming to Hua Hin in a few weeks and I wanted to visit the Power Of Love Church and I wanted to know if you know anything else about the church. Are they still having services in the hotel and if you still recommend them?
