Water Dispensers fail tests

Post by PeteC »

This isn't new. They've been bad since not long after they were introduced more than 20 years ago, as many are not maintained or cleaned properly. Use at your own risk. Pete

"Almost half of all coin-operated water vending machines nationwide are below standard with the water unsafe for general consumption, the Department of Health said Wednesday.

The department released data showing around 40% of the machines dispense water which fails to meet acceptable water-quality standards.".........

JJB
I regularly get lectured by a water engineering mate about any of these systems including the domestic ones. He says filtration systems can filter off the baddies and the accumulated nasty stuff can, for a whole bunch of reasons be suddenly released all in one hit delivering a pretty toxic brew to an unsuspecting punter unless it has an accredited 24/7 monitoring system.
Complexity is so simply overrated
