New Thai & English Pocket Dictionary: This practical dictionary is designed to help English speakers like you communicate in Thai, whether or not you can read the Thai alphabet. It's a perfect fit with our other books, such as Thai for Beginners. Unlike traditional dictionaries, there are three sections: you can look up an English word in the English section, look up a Thai word you read using the Thai Script section, or look up a Thai word you hear by its sound in the unique Thai Sound section.

UPDATE.... Out of Stock until mid next week ..

I don't know whether they are producing a second edition to reflect the updates to the software - it is possible.

The CD may be 'off distribution' - it wouldn't surprise me - but the program / database are downloadable from the site / link I posted earlier.

edit: reprint! Bapak got there first.

For anyone who has an iPhone or iPad, there is a great FREE app called Learn Thai, designed by a company called Codegent. (They do lots of other languages too).

http://www.codegent.com/apps

It's a brilliant e- phrase book.
You hit the English word and hear the word spoken in Thai.
Divided into categories - numbers, days, greetings, food etc.

It's easy to just spend a few minutes every day.
In my case, some of it is actually starting to sink in.
