Paiboon talking dictionary app for Android phones

Post by Korkenzieher »

I have the PC version of this, and I am quite happy with it - to the point of being impressed. Having bought myself a new Samsung phone, I am thinking of downloading 'the app', to get it on the phone. However, on reading the reviews it seems some people have been getting problems with the rights management and licencing.

Does any one have the app, and any experience of these problems - how widespread are they and are they limited to certain phones - eg Samsung or iPhone, more than others?

thanks for this thread.
I use the PC version too and its the best that dictionary I ever had.

I just bought and downloaded it to my Samsung, its works great!!
Very well programmed, as easy to use as the PC version.

Seems the programm needs internet connexion every 2 weeks to keep the license going. If you have tablet and mobile you can install it on both.

Yes - the comments I read said every 15 days that it phones home, and that if you haven't connected to WiFi in that time, that it just gives up, and claims you are not licenced. It is very nice, though there seems to be quite some variation in the vocab available on different platforms (PC vs Android) - not sure how or why that happens.
