คุณ มิ่งขวัญ ภาษา อัลไรเรอะ จักสื่อ ว่างัย เนี่ยะ !??

Post by Ratsima »

The subject phrase was posted on my FB page in response to a comment by มิ่งขวัญ.

Normally, with some help from a dictionary and/or Google, I can figure these things out. But this baffled me. My wife thought it was questioning the use of language, but not sure of some of the word usage. For example, what the heck is อัลไร?

Any thoughts?

BTW, Google's translation is:
You mascot language Al Rai Media Bullring be a belief that she did.

It basically means:

Khun Mingkwan, what are you talking about?

Or

" I do not understand what you are saying"

It is very colloquial Thai and is written how it is spoken, eg อัลไร instead of อะไร.

As an analogy, try to translate "what are you on about" into Thai.

I cannot take much credit for the translation. Wife did most of it!

I'm still confused about word usage. For example: จักสื่อ

I know what those two words mean, but I can't get my brain around how they are used in this sentence.

But this is often the case. I understand every word in a sentence, but I still can't figure out what it means. And, after I've been told what it means, I just can't get from the Thai words to the meaning.

จักสือ (not จักส่อ, as sara ี is not used before sara อ), implies a gentle criticism.
จัก is from Issan language, but the two words used together give a different meaning.
