Well they now have a police box near the crossing and when they show red (during the day) a MIB steps out and stops the traffic, BUT as soon as the crossing is perceived to be clear the MIB waves the traffic on through the red lights. Mind you at this point in time the Petcha looks like a giant car park

I think the red light is mostly respected by cars but not by motor bikes-- well if you are hit you are right outside the ER.

Thanks for the advice. I will definately stay away from the 2 placed you cite if they are "farang ripoffs"...pity!

I recently needed emergency treatment. I asked a Thai friend to come with me as a translator-to HHH--she was not needed. The care was first class and totally ethical. The explanations given and post-care instructions perfect. When the bill came it was embarrassingly little.
