After reading the posts regarding the amount of time to wait to see a doctor, I thougt I would share my experiance that happend yesterday. My 9 week old Babies had an appointment to see the pediatriction at 1pm we arrived at 12.40 and I was helped from the car park by security and was taken straight to the waiting room round the back by peids. The nurses saw to me straight away and did all the check ups needed before seeing the doctor. I was told to take a seat and was still sitting there at 1.40PM. Now normally I am a stickler for time keeping and when you have 2 babies timing and schedules are important and kind of help you get through the day, While sitting there I ran into the babies feeding time so I fed them and by 2pm I though I would ask how long it would be till I saw the doctor. I was told 5 minutes and sure enough it was. My appointment was late because she was still with the previous patient, who was a 1 month old who was actually sick and not just having a check up and vaccinations like we were. I think if you have an appointment at the hospital you have to expect sometimes things run late as someone might actually be sicker than you and need the help of the doctors.
Apart from the wait to see the doctor, The rest of the appointment was fine and went smoothly,
The only complaint I have is that trying to get two car seats out my car in the little spaces is certainly a challenge. When oh when will someone put in a parent and child space near the entrance big enough to open the car doors fully.

Speaking of the seats near the cashier, what's with shoving the rows so closely together and then leaving a huge empty expanse in front of them? They could easily space the rows of seats to give enough leg room for someone to access a center seat when the aisle seat is occupied, but nooooo....

No hospital can guarantee to see you at exactly your appointment time. They will have an allocated time for each patient and if a patient before you has a problem which takes longer to deal with, this pushes others back. On the other hand you might be behind a patient who can be sorted out in less than the allocated time and you will be seen earlier.
Try going to A&E in the UK and see how long you have to wait !

To be fair, I think that's the point kitechick was making. :thumb:
A&E, of course, tend not to give appointments!

Dr Mike

Do they have plans to update the endoscope equipment such that injections and laser treatment can be offered?

I recently had a possible stomach diagnosed by BKH but had to be shipped down to SP for the treatment

Quite a saga really but more on that episode of my health treatment later

Do you eat a lot of spicy Issan style food Richard.

I loved spicy food and when I married my wife 15 years ago she cooked every day Issan style with copious amounts of chillies. That's about all I ate and after 5 years I had to have stomach surgery. The doc said my problem was due to overproduction of acids due to that diet of food laced with chillies. Before that, I was one of those people who claimed to have a "cast iron" stomach and could eat anything with never a problem.... lesson learned!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

In short HHF

Chilies, hard liquor, beer and meat (beef, pork and veal) are acidic according to my doctors and detox specialists

Just Google and you will see what its all about

I had an acute duedenal ulcer when 21, and ironically had never eaten anything remotely spicy at that age, not even a mild indian curry. Think it was too much greasy foods more than beer or anything. They cleared it up in about 2 days with some new meds that had just come on the scene, Omeprazole. Remember the endoscopy, as they started putting the tube down my throat about 1-2 seconds before the general anastetic had knocked me out, was scary feeling as thought I was choking to 'death' for those split seconds. When I came round about midday, doctor said cut out greasy food and you can't drive for rest of day. I said ok brother is here to drive me home, walked out to car park got in me car and drove across London to Selhurst Park to watch Spurs, had a couple of beers and a KFC. Never felt better

I think age is a factor. If young you recover quicker at my time of life after smoking for 50 years and imbibing for the same period, recovery takes longer

Sorry if this is mentioned elsewhere but I didn't want to scroll through 28 pages on the off chance it might be.
Now the hospital is fully open is it possible to have a medical (MOT type) :)

A few years ago I went to the Bangkok Pattaya hospital and there were several medicals you could choose from, I think I paid about 3500 and it lasted about 90 minutes.
It was also possible to get a discount for the service from a hospital stall in the plaza.
I quite fancy getting checked out when I arrive in 4 weeks time.
TIA
