Physiotherapist in Hua Hin

Post by Siani »

I have read that there is a good Physiotherapist in Hua Hin. My son has had tendon reconstruction and will need some final Physio to hand. Has anyone had this done in HH? If so any recommendations please? As the reconstruction is a little fragile, it will require a qualified Physiotherapist as someone not qualified in this field could do more damage than good if they give the wrong treatment. Thanks Siani

Best to confine your search to a reputable hospital rather than take a risk.
Mixed opinions about the HH one, some golfers seem to have good experiences there though.

The physiotherapy clinic in Soi 102 is very good. I know a lot of people who have been there with problems and have been helped. My husband has a trapped nerve, and 2 visits to the hospital had not helped at all. He has had one treatment at the clinic and was very impressed, is going back again today. Why not just go and have a chat with them before making an appointment ? The phone number is 081 9428824. I hope this helps.

Khun Naphat - Soi 88/1 next to Market Village

Have had treatement for 'Frozen Shoulder', Achilles problems which she has cured for me - experienced with 'sports' injuries and most of the golfers I know go to her.

Degree qualified and extremely good 0866992829 - well recommended elsewhere on this board.

I had a bad experience with the one on Soi 88.

Went in for back pain.

Came out much worse. With real real bad back pain.

Massage, ice pack, electro machine they gave there.

Same massage you can get on the street, nothing special.

Very little real hands on treatment for the problem.

The ice pack was too cold, made whole body too cold.

I do not recommend her and would not go back.

I had an operation 14 months ago to remove the carpal bone at the base of the thumb. It was replaced with a tendon removed from my arm. After the healing process I had major problems with moving my fingers so I went to see Khun Napat on Soi 88/1. The treatment I received got my fingers working again and I was playing golf after four months. Going to her worked for me.

Thanks so much for your reply. It has given us great hope as my son has also had stiff fingers. He is also going to reply to you. :)

Thanks for your replies. I have just had flexor tendon reconstruction in my right hand ring finger. Im almost 1 month since my second operation. Thank god my finger is starting to move at the tip again after a long period of not working.

My problem is that the finger will not straighten looks bent and have a lot of pain muscle spasms and nerve twitches. I hope this will go in time. I am planning on coming to HH next month and will need physio.

Do you know how much the physiotherapist charges for treatment?

I was worried with my fingers all four on the right hand were bent and could not straighten. It takes time and pain but now back to normal. I paid 600 baht a session at the Hua Hin Physiotherapy Clinic.

Thanks Bazza that is really encouraging news. It does make you more confident with the operation itself. My son is only just under 4 weeks after surgery. Today he feels better and will go to the Hua Hin Physiotherapy Clinic for further treatment when he gets out there. Thanks for all the info again. :)

Just a little update. I have arrived in HH (Horray) and now having physio sessions with Hua Hin Physiotherapy Clinic. Yes she is very good I can confirm that. Already after 1.5 weeks my fingers are starting to bend and can almost clench a fist. She starts off with a hot towel for 20 mins then, deep heat treatment with sonar then a full hand massage for 20 mins. Then it is time for excerises with a squeezy ball, followed by resistance training. Finally cold compression with an ice pack (this can be rather chilly).

Forgot to mention she has soaked my hand twice in boiling hot paraffin. Wow that brought tears to my eyes.

I can recommend her.
