Hernia operation

Post by ian lawrie »

Can any one advise a hospital in the Hua Hin area to have a hernia operation, Bunrungrad want 90,000 baht I presume Bangkok hospital would be about the same. As it is not a big operation I have been recommended Pechaburi Government hospital, any advice on cost or hospital most welcome.

Bangkok Hospital in Pattaya quoted me 100k+ last October (and said it was an emergency) I ended up going to the Thai Navy hospital at Sattahip . No rush they said and I had it done in December (double hernia) and the Surgeons recognised my Royal Marines tattoo and I got the same rate as locals ... 27k. Only in one night as well ;)
My mind wandered and never came back :(

I do apologise Ian i was told about your post but forgot untill i was queried why i had not answered

I had a hernia op about 6/7 weeks ago in the Hua Hin general hosp

The quote was 30,000 plus 7,500 farang addition but less than 40,000

my actual bill was substantially lower :D :D but wont quote in case it was a mistake
it is not a big op
yeeeah rrriigght trust me when you see the colour of your hampton and nuts you wont be saying that and recovery is not a pain free or speedy item on the agenda

however it was well worth it and Kamagra is better than viagra

My wife just had a Femoral Hernia op at bangkok Hua Hin Hospital, expect to pay around 75k with one night stay, all tests, MRI, X-Ray, blood tests etc. Excellent service.

Oh Dear! What did you do to provoke it?
