I've used all 3 (4 if you count Petcharat) local hospitals and I prefer the Hua Hin Government hospital both for care and price. Having said that, if I have the time for a non-emergency I go to the non profit private St. Louis Hospital in Bangkok which has excellent physicians and other staff at half the price of the other private hospitals.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

What do you make of the clinics, you know those ones that are drop in clinics where you book a time if they are full or simply walk in? They seem to be like GPs back home in England in the sense they are not specified to one part of medicine, part practice everything. A few years back I went to the clinic on Phetkasem Rd near Kasikorn Bank past the red lights for a HIV test, just out of curiosity and peace of mind as I had never had one. It came back negative, but the thing is the results took about 15-20 minutes to come back after I gave my blood.. Is that even possible? I thought you had to wait quite a while.

Hi TomTom,

What has been said regarding 'fast-track' in Hua Hin Hospital is indeed true. It's been there for a long time and not a recent innovation. It was certainly there 2 or 3 years ago. The last time I went was in early January of this year. I had to have a full medical before my eye operation. I was led to the 'farang office' where I was met by a nurse who spoke excellent English. She asked me if I wanted VIP service which costs 100 baht. Every floor in the hospital was jam packed with waiting patients. Having agreed to the 100 bt, I was escorted by a nurse to every dept. required and in each case, I was taken straight to the front of the queue. (actually, a little embarrassing).

I was in and out of the hospital in around about an hour or so with a full medical report and x-ray.

My relatives from the UK have used it and can't fault it both for service and price!!

I would recommend it every time.

There used to be what I considered a very good clinic here sponsored by Petcharat Hospital, the International Polyclinic, but they closed doors shortly after Bangkok Hospital opened. I liked the option to go to an all purpose clinic for minor ailments rather than a hospital but sadly they are gone now and I don't know of another general purpose clinic that fills that gap here.

I've never seen mention on here of Hua Hin Hospital 2 and Hua Hin Hospital 3 (Is there a Hua Hin Hospital 1?). From the outside they seem to fit the description.

Do they?

Are they any good?
