they have tried most pharmacy`s in pattaya but all they get is CANOT BUY CANOT SELL

so has anyone bought such like in hh?
why is it you can buy in patong and not other places?
is this due to it being an island/different province?

Can't answer your specific question about xanax, but the pharmacies here are as good as anywhere. Normally they're staffed by at least one semi qualified doctor, as you'll know, and medicines are a fraction of the cost of a hospital such as San Paulo.
I did read a while ago that the government was going around pharmacies, certainly in BKK, and warning them that they did need someone qualified to work in them. Don't know if this was the case in HH.
For me, the best one is on Petchkasem Road. Walk north, on the eastern - sea - side of the road from the night market. a short distance further on you go under a pedestrian walkover and the shop's right there.
Big place. May have what you want.

Not sure what the medicine or tablet is you mean, but the Poly Clinic in town has a good pharmacy, all the nurse's and doctor's speak very good english and are very friendly.

Head north from the night market, it is about two kms on the left hand side, near the kasicornbank and they are open until about 2100hrs as far as I can remember.

I have just spoken to my girlfriend (Thai) who is a qualified pharmacist, and she says that pharmacies are not allowed to sell this drug over the counter - you have to see a doctor first and get a prescription. However some pharmacies will break the law and risk prosecution for their own reasons - maybe to make a lot of profit or because of the old Thai mentality of wanting to help someone. Apparently there is a battle going on right now between the pharmacists and the powers that be over this issue, as the pharmacists feel that they just as qualified (and in many cases more so) as the doctors to prescribe medicines, but the list of drugs they are allowed to sell without prescription is shrinking all the time.

Not quite sure what you're after, but if it's some kind of sleeping tablet for the flight, try asking for the little purple ones that you can buy over the counter. They cost about 120 THB for 10.
I tried them & I slept for 9 hours with no after effects.
