Ear doctor/specialist

Post by Paderborn »

Hello everyone
Where is the best place to go in Hua Hin with a severe ear infection/problem? the current drops and antibiotics don't appear to helping at the moment.
If you can recommend somewhere, if you know days and hours they are open, phone numbers etc, that would be most helpful.
Thanks in advance

As far as I recall, there's an Ear a Throat and Nose clinic on the LHS of the main Petchkasm road, just past the Chomsin road traffic lights if heading towards Cha Am and roughly opposite Pure Electric - no idea of opening times though.

There is a good clinic opposite Hua Hin Hospital, open after 17:00.

Is that the same one as I mentioned in my post above? If not, please explain where it's located otherwise it's not of much use to anybody.

There are now a number of specialist clinics in several new buildings opposite Hua Hin General Hospital.

Also there is an excellent female ENT doctor at Hua Hin General Hospital. Only available Tuesday and Thursdays. Have to make appointment (an do by phone)... and will not accept the Baht 200 Special Services office.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I am really grateful.
I went to the one opposite Hua Hin Hospital this morning, but although they usually open on Saturday they are closed for the weekend!!
So I will try again on Monday
Thanks again for your input

Yes, I saw a specialist at HH Hospital about two years ago. Not sure if anything has change but the one I saw was very professional and honest.

Glad you found what you were looking for.

About a year ago Mr S had really bad ear problem. Took ages to clear up. If in pain also get really bad get painkillers as well as the antibiotics. Mr S did get rid of it but only after 5 courses of antibiotics. Mr S says to tell you that you have to be careful what you put in your ears as they are very close to the brain.
:) Hope it clears up soon.

I first went HH hospital told we shut ENT in less than 1 hour but then the staff go over road to clinic which open 17-30 so went--sat waiting sent wife for bottle of chang to help the pain and looked around and thought this place looks like a car ringers workshop--just as id finished the chang 3 beautiful young girls walked out from hospital crossed over road and opened the workshop to show a smart surgery I said to wife we now got to wait for Dr but no within 2 minutes I saw Dr I was shocked how young she was and beautiful and spoke perfect english she had the inside of my head on a widescreen tv in minutes in full HD told me the problem and gave me some pills which worked and the problem cleared up--cant recall exact cost but under 1000B so go see the young ladies from heaven not the money grabbing old quacks from hell
