Hi folks,
has anyone invested in a decent juicer recently?
I'm looking to purchase but not sure at present which model is best and where to buy.
Central.co.th has three Hurom models around my budget margin:

Any recommendation would be appreciated.

My first reaction on seeing the headline is that this thread should be in the Hidden forum!
Re: Slow 'screw-type' juicer
I bought Mrs J.J.B. a wide-mouth, cold-press, masticating juicer. Yes, that description should be in night-crawlers, I agree! It has about 65 rpm and crushes the juice out of the fruit or veg - apparently it will make nut pastes and sorbets too.
This slow juicing is meant to inhibit the oxidation of the juicy goodness that is caused by rapid spinning and aeration of a rotary, grating-style juicer. Big in Korea, our juicer came from Australia and seems to do a good job. It is probably three or four times the price of a centrifugal juicer and is also a bugger to clean afterwards, one of the main reasons it's not used every day.
edit ours is the Optimum 600 model

I'm offshore at the moment but I will ask the wife. Honestly I don't know if she would agree to sell it she doesn't like parting with anything.Ginjaninja wrote:HHCanuck,HHCanuck wrote:I bought one also it cost 10k Baht it works great but my wife became too tired buying fresh veg every day so it was only used for a week.

Re: Slow 'screw-type' juicer
Just ordered the Hurom HU9 from central.co.th.
The Optimum model posted by J.J.B. looks very similar in design but it appears under a different market name in Thailand.
Can't wait for some carrot & green apple healthy delight.
