Having been through a large part of the forum here, i have seen quite a lot of urgent requests for blood for people who need an operation in the hospitals in Hua Hin. This is a little disturbing, does it mean that most hospitals do not have an adequate blood supply in Thailand ? This could mean life or death in quite a lot of situations.
Also having Crohn's ( A bowel disease) i was wondering if maybe other people here have experiences in Hua Hin / Bangkok with hospitals that they could recommend as its not a common illness for Asian people. Not specially for this disease but for anything serious relating to the bowels.
Was otherwise suprised with the quality of the hospitals in Thailand when i needed them during my travels, even the scary looking local hospital in Cha Am had friendly staff and a reasonable quality of basic emergency care.
Thanks !
