mobile patient hoist

Post by albaker »

Does anybody know where I can rent a patient hoist similar to the birdie compact hoist for a period of 6/7 weeks .
Alternatively an outlet where I can purchase such a hoist in Hua Hin or possibly in Bangkok we can then bring it down to the condo where we would be staying .

I've never been in there, but there's a shop just South of Hua Hin Hospital that looks as if they would have what you are looking for. Same side of the road as the hospital.

I believe that Invacare has a distributor in Thailand. The Disty should be able to help.

See http://www.invacare.com/cgi-bin/imhqprd ... ge=English - good luck

It maybe worth checking with the Hua Hin Red Cross, next to the Tessabahn. ph: 032 512 567

The may either have one, or know where to get one.

Fascino pharmacies carry equipment for the old and/or infirm. It may be possible to obtain a hoist from them.

Thanks or all the info .
Have decided to purchase an Invacare hoist in Bangkok and bring it down with us , checked a care company in Phuket and their daily rental charges would be more than " buying " a new one , sure that if such a company were in Hua Hin the charges would be similar .
