Treatment for arthritis/rheumatoid arthritis in HH?

Post by 404cameljockey »

I have a long-term painful thumb joint and would like to get it diagnosed and possibly some injection or something on an irregular basis to ease it. Might be cheaper than popping Voltaren tablets every day, which seem to have lessening effect anyway (sorry but I love to self-medicate).

Does anyone have any experience please?

I don't think you will find a specialist for this in HH. Have your tried taking Brexin tablets, I find it very beneficial.

There is a specialist across the road from Hua Hin Hospital. There is a row of shop houses, and his is the one on the left, next to the big field. It opens at either 5 or 6 each evening, until 8 or 9. Not overly expensive - just walk in and join the queue.

Yes, he speaks English. Mrs BB was pleased with his treatment, as was a Brummie friend.

It's the tall skinny shop on the left, not the Worakul Chulee Clinic with the long green canopy on the right, correct? :)

If it's regular arthritis it can be reversed by detoxifying, diet and a few supplements. You would need to commit to at least 6 months of detox. (Depending on the severity), that's better than a lifetime of drugs. If you're interested PM me. No, I don't receive and compensation or make any money from this information.

Arthritis comes in many forms. The most common (regular, if you like) is osteoarthritis. Degeneration of the protective layer of cartilage between bone joints due to hard use and/or especially age. It in effect just wears away so that eventually bone is rubbing on bone. Good luck with a detox for that. It may help for rheumatoid arthritis or other types. I have no idea. Same with food supplements. For example, swallowing collagen tablets to try to replace damaged/lost cartilage is just a fantasy idea.

I didn't see the specialist yet but I'll report when I do.

I suffer from bad joints so I was interested in this subject and found this with a simple search on Google
https://www.wholesomeone.com/news-artic ... oarthritis - this article suggests that osteoarthritis sufferers can benefit from a detox programme

If there is an immunological basis then it is logical that detox may help, but in osteo-arthritis where it is a purely mechanical problem of bone rubbing on bone then it can have no benefits.
For Hips and Knees, replacement is the answer but you cannot replace dozens of minor joints.

I believe it might help to reduce some symptoms of osteoarthritis, but not to halt the disease nor reverse it.

Just my thoughts though, based on looking into various treatments in the past. I didn't try it (I'm not a bad sufferer), so I can't say anything for sure, I understand that.
