Many of you might of at some time in the last three years met and talked with the English guy John with only one complete leg. He has been a regular character in Hua Hin for the three years since he seperarted from his Thai wife in Sing Buri and decide to come and live in Hua Hin.
After stupidly telling the authorities that his narriage had broken down and was living apart his marriage visa was revoked. He has been doing the thirty day Ranong trip for at least two and a half years ever since. I have been telling hin for well over one year that that will come to an end at some point in the near future and of course now it has. I wrote to consulates and told him exactly what he needed to do to get his retirement visa. He chose to ignore the advice and carry on drinking his pension away and getting ripped off by gar girls in, only one winner, games of pool. He health has now deteriorated and although is still receiving some aid froma benevolent farang he is ignoring his advice also. The next step can only be:
Farang found dead on filthy rooom in Hua Hin's Chom sin Road or:
he will make it down to Ranong in December with only enough money for the journey only to be told if he goes out he can not come back for 90 days. Otherwise know as shit stree.
If there is anybody out there who knows him and can knock some sense into him please do. All other attempts have failed.
Plea for assistance to peg leg John

An update here on the situation that I know a few people had shown some interest in.
Thanks to Martin, (owner of the now renamed ex Shed guest house) and Keith of Friendly Car Travel, John has now been put on a plane and sent back to the UK to sort out his health and banking issues and a tragedy has been averted.
There was someone, arranged by Keith, at Heathrow with a placard to meet him but he did not make contact so we can only guess that he has been picked up by someone and taken into hospital where he should get any necessary health treatment and contact with the social services.

I was worried about him
I am so glad that John has made it home. To have stayed in Hua Hin (even without the new visa changes) would have been his distruction. He's a nice man with problems. Thank you for the update.

Hi Guess,
Thanks for the update; I share everyone's hope that maybe John can sort his life out now, a pity he had to come back here to do it tho'.
Apart from his health I mean.
Thanks to Martin and Keith over there, it's nice to see somebody was able to help him get back to the UK.
Let's wish him a speedy recovery and hope he can get his life back on track again.
