Apparently Honda have made some significant performance improvements to their engine, not sure if that translates to reliability improvements.

I predict HAM, BOT, RAI

Hamilton wins to come within seven points of Vettel for the championship. In his home race Verstappen retired with a blown engine on lap 8 with 100,000 spectators present at this end of summer race at Spa.

In our pool both Pitsch and Pete had the best race with 13.5 points with JJBones getting 13.5 also, but Pitsch and Pete take it based upon type of points. The top three remain Pitsch, Pete and JJBones.

Italy is up next weekend, Good luck to all! :thumb: Pete

So how does a 35 place grid penalty work? How many places are there on the grid?

It made me laugh as well. There are 20 places. Perhaps they make him sit there for X more seconds as well? Or, they take the remaining 15 places in the next race? Not sure..... :? Pete

They don't carry over the penalties to the next race (they did that a couple of years back and it got scrapped), and they don't have to wait any longer at the start.

Vandoorne was penalised by a similarly silly amount of positions at the last race.

I suppose it's just in case two drivers get stiff penalties, then the order at the back of the grid will be clear.
So wrong that drivers are penalised for engine breakdowns/replacement parts, but I guess it's a penalty for the team which just rebounds on the driver too. :(

I put down my pathetic permanent 'bottom of the table' position down to our annual holidays being moved. We're now away during June and July and don't have an opportunity to watch any races whilst staying with relatives. I and Parahandy have to do our picks blind as we have no idea who has won the previous race, and we don't watch the practices. We then spend the next couple of weeks back here catching up on all the races. Oh, and because of the hectic social schedule I keep forgetting to make my picks on time.

I'm sure I can think of many more excuses given time...

It's been raining heavily and P3 is a mess, as qualifying may be as well. Pete

If you didn't lock them Pharvey you can still change them and lose nothing if changed before qualifying. Pete
