Yes, and something of a relief after a loss and a (poor) draw in the first 3 games. Let's hope that's the start of a good run, and that they can get this silly 'Wembley jinx' out of the way.

Kane's lack of goals in August is bizarre to say the least, but he still manages to finish the season as top scorer, and he's scored 4 in the first 9 days of September!

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think Spurs will win the Premiership this year. They'll be in the top 4 though. City must be favourites to win, with Spurs, Chelsea and Man U (in no particular order) filling the other places. Arsenal? Not a chance, I'm afraid... (  )

Wot - no mention of the scousers? :)

If mane had got that through ball instead of the keepers face, I think the game yesterday would have been very different. Both City and Liverpool have an Achilles heel in defence. The spuds are solid, Chelsea are okay, United are a bit up and down. It could be the difference in the games between the top teams.

Man City striker Aguero hurt in car crash
Published: 29/09/2017 at 02:39 PM
Online news:

MANCHESTER: Manchester City say Sergio Aguero has been injured in a road accident in the Netherlands.

The English Premier League club say the incident happened on Thursday, on his day off.

City say the Argentina striker is returning to Manchester on Friday and will be assessed by club doctors, ahead of the team's Premier League match against Chelsea on Saturday.

Argentine newspaper Diario Ole said Aguero, who was in the Netherlands to attend a concert, was riding in a taxi when the vehicle crashed into a pole.

His former club in Argentina, Independiente, said on Twitter: "Strength and fast recovery. All Independiente is with you at this difficult time."

I would hate to see it happen, but it may. Sooner or later he's going to be taken. :( Pete

I honestly think that if this is another barren season for the spuds, that the team will break up. Some of these players are getting to their prime - its scary how good Kane can become - and they will want to be playing in a winning team.

Man C win 7-2 and Guardiola is a happy manager, Man U draw 0-0 and Mourinho is a happy manager. Whose fans are the happiest?

To be fair, they're probably all happier than Arsenal fans.

Unless they're Chelsea fans! :(

Our recruitment in the summer only really replaced like for like and not so much to take us to the next level and it's showing. Looking forward to seeing Hazard returning to the team when he's fit.

Not a big surprise as there's been talk about this for awhile. Pete

Newcastle United have been put up for sale with owner Mike Ashley hoping to conclude a deal by Christmas.

I feel sorry for this man. He had a good career going at Everton and that's where he should have stayed. Now he finds himself once again trying to resurrect a bottom team away from relegation. He'll either achieve glory, or failure once again which if happens will probably make him unmarketable. It will be interesting to watch how West Ham does from here to the end. I wish him luck.
