Dodgy Bars

Post by niggle »

If the mods will allow it, maybe it might be interesting for posters to tell of dodgy
practices they have encountered at bars in HH. I'll kick off with
:
P&P Bar - high prices and frequent "mistakes" on the bill

Forgot to mention:
PP bar - tries to add bar fine onto bill if sitting with lady for an hour or so - check bin really does mean check bin.

Whilst I don't have much time for many bar owners cos they're too tight to buy a toilet roll, I still use them without complaint, sometimes over-charged sometimes under. Some prob mistakes some deliberate, welcome to Thailand Mr Naieve.

If were really gonna start listing bars we once had the most minor of life's troubles in and affect their business in this particular period, then we're a bunch of whingeing, whining, snivelling little pr*ks. Fill your boots winestains.

OP get a life. That is all.

PS: Boycott HH McDonals, I just saw a half eaten slice of gherkin on the floor adjacent to the South facing wall. Now that is all.

If you go trawling around seedy beer bars that offer "massages with extras" and short time rooms anywhere in the world and expect not to meet characters that talk crap and people that are a bit shady and will try to rip you off then take off the rose tinted specs .As for a bar being expensive why not just make your decision when you look at the drinks list .Also whilst I have had padded bills I have observed quite a few sad losers get into a round situation then pay only for their own drinks on the rounds they shouted before nipping off to leave the rest of you to foot the bill including most of their drinks .Probably off to look for a bar with balloons outside to get some free food and 419 another few tourists .

Niggle, Perhaps they charge parking fines for sitting on seats and not buying the goods after one hour. You could be taking a seat from a prospective paying client.
It is a bit like tyre kickers who waste car salesmen's time when they have no intention of buying the goods.

The one way to stop your bin being padded is to pay as you go, then you will be safe in the knowledge that you are not being stiffed on your bill.

You could always sit outside 7/11 or family mart, they sell cheap beer and you could try to befriend a stray dog while sitting on a concrete step in the pissing rain with no TV, no music, no company no pool table, etc, etc but with your attitude I wouldn't be surprised if the dog bit you and f'd off. Nobody forces you to go into a bar or return there if you have had a bad experience. Normally drinks prices are advertised and you can pay as you go. If you ask a girl for extra's they are more than willing to tell you the cost before you take anything further. Alternatively stay at home with a bottle of thai whisky and have a ham shank.

Ok now you've all had your spell at typical Hua Hin expat insults, try getting your heads out of your arses and think about what the point of the post was.

You think I don't accept that bars have different prices and if you don't like the price don't go back ???

From your reactions you are obviously happy to be overcharged by extras being added to the bill.
Same reaction if I posted that extras had been added to my bill in Tesco or Homepro ?? - You'd be happy with that?
The principle isn't the prices, the principle is the deliberate hiding of extras added and the protestations of innocence.
Next time you jump on a poster with childish insults, try to read and understand the post first.

I haven't a problem with that if they're ripping folk off.

I've no doubt the OP is genuinely making his point, similar to something I experienced in one of the bars opposite O'Neills once (no idea of the name). I guess the issue is, if this thread continues, whether it could be hi-jacked by those that use it for other reasons?

Quite an amazing leap you've made there ..... because we do not cry over spilt milk we are "obviously happy" about it.
I think we grasped it was the principle of the heinous act rather than the amount.

I'm not happy when it rains but I don't whinge about it.
I'm not happy when Spurs rob me of 32 quid but I don't ......... you know the rest.

We're not trying to insult you merely suggesting you obtain a life.

Cheers, no offence mate.

Not sure what you mean by using thread for other reasons but at least thank you for a comment without cheap insults
Harming their business in this period, sorry but low season or not, deliberately ripping people off is wrong and if a bar or elsewhere is doing that, then maybe they deserve to go under.
As I stated previously would the earlier respondees have the same reaction if extras were hidden in their bill from Tesco ??
The essence of the post is not about girls, beer or even bars

So calm calm down, its only a comment dear
