Bar Papa Gita or Papa Gyta or something like that
Bar Papa Gita or Papa Gyta or something like that
Between Soi Selekam and Soi Binthabat there is a (new?) bar called Papa Gita or something like that. Probably it is a name change. I like to have the address and the telephone number of that bar. Is there anyone who can help me?

I think the proper name is Papa Yita or very similar. It is on Soi Selekam virtually next to Bentho bar and opposite an artist shop.
They do happy hour until 9pm and I think bottles are 55 baht.
The bar is owned/run by a nice Frenchman and his Tirac who had his baby last year.
It is a small relaxed bar with a pool table but nicely decorated with cool lighting.
The bar has had some cuties working there when I have been in, also some reasonable not too loud music played.
There are about 4 soft chairs and 8 stools, other than that I don't know anything.

It isn't particularly new, nor is it a name change. The building was a shell when the original owner moved in, maybe about 3 years ago - I looked at the building myself shortly beforehand. Personally, I felt the asking price for the unit was a bit more than I was prepared to consider when I saw it. I was told that it changed hands very soon after opening under the original owner - maybe a month or so. To my mind, it is a little on the small side - a little cramped if anyone is using the pool table. I quite like the place though and wish them continued success. Can't help with the phone no though, sorry.

Yes, I agree that the size lets it down, the bar stools are uncomfortable and sometimes in the way of the pool table. The soft chairs are usually taken and the stools on the front are as uncomfortable as the others, again you may have to lean over for someone to take a pool shot.
I tried to get them to buy Moonlight, similar bar but larger.
I have to say though, they do have the ability to attract some Eye Candy.

Moonlight is much larger, and when I first came to HH ws one of the busiest but still less well known bars - being that it isn't on the main Bintabaht drag. Seems pretty desolate most days now, and it is hard to understand why.

So I guess there is not much going for it based on the above !! - and there are certainly many better bars around the same area

Thank you very much TimandT.

One thing it has going for it is that one night, unbeknown to me, my mobile phone slipped out of my pocket whilst I was sitting in one of the low chairs.
The next evening whilst walking past the girls at Papa Yita called me in the bar to say that they had my mobile. That cost me a couple of ladydrinks.
Sure there are better bars around, but if we all went into the same bar it would be pretty crowded.

I visited HH for the first time, now in September, and Papayita became my favorite bar. A nice, small and classy place - thank's to the cool French manager and his nice staff:)

Nice bar, prices same same for the town centre. Girls always friendly but not at all pushy or overbearing I have to agree about the pool table - the bar really is'nt big enough for it but thats the same with so many bars who feel a pool table is a must.
Re: Bar Papa Gita or Papa Gyta or something like that
They have a cue half the normal lenght that you can use where the wall, the column or other punters are too close to the table.

That cue gets used rather a lot! They have a cue half the normal lenght that you can use where the wall, the column or other punters are too close to the table.
Yes, they would probably be better off with a smaller table, but a nice friendly bar, I agree.
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly...
