i wonder what idiot realy believes this is happening in the Romantic, we, my wife and i have been coming there nearly every day for the last 7 years and we never seen anything like this going on, the girls are all very nice and honest, so what is the reason of trying to give the place a bad name, you should be ashamed writing a piece like that.

You and your wife and I have met many times and never seen anything of that nature in Romantic bar. My belief is that it is a rival bar not too far away that plays loud music and has very few customers.

Chris has told me occasionally customers from a certain bar have objected to the music and taken up residence in Romantic so they could chat

One of the quirks of life is that the obvious suspect is often innocent..

The Romantic is a very successful bar, in no small part because the boss has a zero tolerance of misbehaviour by her staff.

Unlike most bars, the great majority of girls who go to work there have never worked in another bar before, and there is a long roll-call of past Romantic staffers who are now happily settled with men they met there.

In many ways it is more like a social club and dating agency than a beer bar, and it's frequented by many respectable couples who might otherwise shy away from that type of establishment.

Success, however, breeds resentment; and whilst I can identify the bar hinted at, I can also think of other possible suspects. A good many bars have probably been running at a loss through the low season, and the imperative to make good over the coming months may have provoked someone into attempting a petty stunt..

The fact that the guy making the accusations hasn't been back makes it 100% (even though we kinda knew anyways) that it was a load of crap. Ironically this thread has turned into a nice little bit of free exposure for Chris and his wifes place.

Can't believe this story eighter.
Romantic bar is a nice place to go.
Have good experience during my stay in Hua Hin.
Friendly girls and not begging for drinks or what so ever.

People speak here on the board that PK67 might be an other bar owner who might be jealours.
I have an other theory.
The mrs. bought some "stuff" in Bangkok from some person who told her that if she put it in her drink, she will have a great evening in bed with the mr. ( you know what I mean ? )
Anyway, it didn't work out on her and therefore she put it in her husbands drink. And that didn't work out eighter.
I would ask the poster Mr. PK67 if he has ask his wife if she has something to do with it.

Chris, Puy and the rest. I dare to leave my vodka diet coke on the bar when I go to the loo, or have to jump in the 7-11 because I am running out of cigarettes.
Wish I was there now, but a pity, I'm not in Thailand at the moment.

Your theory makes quite a lot of sense..

Couple decide to holiday in Thailand - why? - because he's become a boring old f*rt and she wants him to lighten up a little..

They arrive in Thailand and he's still a BOF, so she suggests they mosey down to look at some girly bars..

..but he's still a BOF..

So she picks up some 'stuff' to see what the local 'stuff' is like, and when he notices makes out her drink got spiked..

He reacts by saying they should go somewhere quieter, and they leave Bangers and head for HH.

Her BOF cure still not working, she gets out her 'stuff' while he's in the loo, and laces both their drinks..

Being a BOF, the very idea that his Mrs did the honours out of desperation never occurs to him..

- And it also explains how they got spiked drinks twice on a single trip to The Kingdom...

I been drunk on Romantic alone many time, and the girls allways take good care of me.

If the girls would spiked me I would be a easy victim, I feel safe in Romantic even when I'm drunk.

To PK67 - why do you not went back to Romantic bar and complain???
