Its a bar.
They serve beer.
Girls work there.
What more does anyone need to know?
Nobody will know if they like it until they go in. If you don't like it, try the bar next door.

You have been given the best info you can get, if you are having a good time you will probably not know which bar is which unless you get attached to a girl or are out on the lash for a couple of months, go with the flow, if you are in coconuts bar and next door you see a different sport on tv or see a stunning girl next door you will go next door.

I have spent over a year of my life in hua hin and know the exact whereabouts of a dozen or so bars by name, when im there i get my bearings but by name i have not got a clue generally.

Have a good time and bag up

I think the OP makes a fair point when he says he is asking about the bar and what is it like, so that they have an idea about the place before they arrive? Fair enough if they make a beeline for it and it turns out to be no good, then for sure they will move on to somewhere that has what they are looking for.

I'm afraid that being a happily married man, I cant offer much advice about the Coconuts or what bar may be best for you and your mates, but I am sure that you'll find somewhere that ticks the boxes!!

Have fun.

One of those fabricated questions to steer up business ... It´s very simple for the guys to pass by that bar take a look, if they like it have drink and take it from there. Unless it´s a nightclub asking for an entrance fee.

We not going only for the nightlife, play golf and rest.
That why we booked Hua Hin instead of Pattaya.

OK - going back a few years when Jim had Coconuts it was a whacky little bar with pool, a couple of cute spaniels, and a very 'Jim' type decor. The best times were afternoons sitting on the step and watching the world go by. Times change. I'm sure it is still as good a bar as many others, and maybe as good place as many others to start the night. Just go with the flow. It really isn't too far from all the other bars.
The fact is that the bar scene in HH is contained in a very small area which is easy to stagger around in a night or two. Few tourists have enough nights to find the more interesting places anyway.

Don't forget the python... it got loose one time and caused a helluva scramble in that part of town. :D
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
