^ Yes, that's another one where my friend has taken his dog with no problems.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Agree about Naab Thong....when I eat there Bee takes excellent care of both customer and hound.

Contrary to GLCQ's belief,I rarely visit the Binta area and when I have it has been in the afternoons,Not my scene really but I would hardly say that it's a hard core in yer face sex scene. My God,take a walk down Walking Street in Patts.I'll forgive the cockerknee rebel because he's just a kid with a lot of growing up to do

Thanks for the tip. I have been to Hua Hin quite a few times but only around the main center. I don't want the taste of Thai food so thats alright. I must point out I have been living here for 2 years and my girlfriend is Thai, I have had enough of Thai food it is crap.

Pretty much my thoughts as well, but now we know that the OP is nought but a lad and with a very young sprog - and a dog in tow? (Sorry I'm still boggling a bit about this situation) but anyway given the circumstances I would seriously suggest the Jailhouse on Chomsin as dog and baby friendly and for good food and beers - OK not pints, and no beergarden.
Otherwise the burger joint already mentioned might fill the bill, but a burger joint isn't going to give much of a taste of Thailand really.
It might help if we could get back to the OP and ask what exactly he is expecting from HuaHin - or indeed from Thailand?

Maybe you haven't tried Thai food from the right cooks. I've been eating it (mostly) for fifteen years and still like it, although I enjoy the occasional western food diversion as well.

Another that I'm sure you have thought of is a few of the beachfront restaurants (away from the tourist spot outside the Hilton Hotel). You could relax with a cold one, let the dog run about, splash the little un's with a bit of the ocean and basically have a great little afternoon away from the hustle and bustle.

Will try and recall a few of the resraurant's names but theres plenty in both directions... just think of the Hilton spot as the epicenter of shite and work your way away from there.

Yes GLCQ along from the Sofitel about 1 km are a few watering holes and people do exercise their dogs while having a cold one. Dogs can even move the kite boarders up the beach :naughty:

Lost Cafe on the main drag into Khao Takiab (just past the 7/11) has an outside are where dogs are welcome. They also have Guinness, Tiger (95 baht a pint) and (soon) Heiniken on tap (half pints, pints and quite possibly buckets if you ask nicely). They also stock 38 bottled Belgian beers, plus quite a few others from other countries. Thai and western food, good quality and well priced. Although new, the pub's olde English style decor is very authentic. Soon to be opened roof garden - I doubt for canines but you can only ask.

Another concern should also be your dog getting jumped by a pack of thug soi dogs as you stroll around town. Take a nice thick walking stick with you. Regardless how big and ferocious yours may be, you don't want him to get in a fight with the likes of them. Pete
