Being a Royal town, this will probably happen in HH as well IMO. Pete
"Night entertainment venues will be asked to suspend their businesses from April 8-10 during the funeral of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana, while other private enterprises will be asked to fly national flags at half-mast on their premises, PM's Office permanent secretary Thongthong Chandrangsu said yesterday."

"It has been announced that all Bangkok 'Night-spots' will stay closed on the 8th-10th of April 'cos of a Princess's funeral. Will this rule find it's way south to HH..?? (with 2 'rehearsal-days' prior to this also).
Also on the 6th it is 'Chakri Memorial Day'..is this day 'important' enuf to have the bars shut down
that day/evening also..?? Anyone know more on this..??"

I don't know about Pattaya, but in Rayong province where there are bars and karaoke clubs, the police walk around the day before the closing and place a written official notice in each bar to assure the owners know. Do they do that in Hua Hin? Pete

You have to feel sorry for the owners and workers--3 nights that is a long funeral.
