Where to go at night times for good music

Discussion on where to go when the sun goes down in Hua Hin; bars, pubs, clubs, karaoke and general nightlife.

Where to go at night times for good music

Post by max666 »

I wonder if anyone of you can recommend a place where I can go inthe evening and listen to some good old rock music like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd to name just a few big names?

Any recommendations would be highly appreciated.
That techno pop they often play in the bars is killing me...

I would just like to suggst El Murffys on a weekend for good music, they have a live band and the atmosphere is always good there. The band is really quite good as well IMO.

Thx for that, I walked by that place yesterday I believe. I'll give it a try.

There is a new place called The Music Station, as u walk toward the railway station its on the left side, smallish entrance but nice place, haven't heard the band there yet but gonna give it a try soon.
Souay Vista in SOi 94 also get some great musicians.

My son tried it last week, and wasn't at all impressed.

London Bar usually have one of two bands playing - our favourite was the one playing during the week - but we left at the end of April so not sure what's happening now.
It's well worth a look though - it was always a good night, good laugh and a friendly place to spend many an evening.

Wonder if 'Music Station' does indeed have any bands willing to play 'music' ?
It would be a welcome change to the loud-loud s***e that the 'live' venues are serving-up every evening in the 'Bar Area' here.
Why oh why does it have to be rock classics killed by excessive drumming and bass guitar ??
No, I don't wanna hear Hotel California every night (which they also kill), or another rendition of anything by Whitney, but somebody who can play a lead guitar, without the need for the singer to shout into the microphone 'cos he's battling against the band.. :banghead: Rant over.

(Does 'Ray's Place' still do them jamming sessions ??).

Tried music station and was pretty impressed, my lady said thai food was very good, music was varied and of pretty good quality and they were running a promo for a free drink for any female between ten and midnight, so she had a bacardi breezer free. See they were running that promo in awol this week. Its worth a try as the beer prices were pretty cheap for big bottles, 90bt if I remember right
