Yes I lived in Pattaya for two years before coming here, been to Walking Street and many other hot spots and I would say out of all the "incidents" I have ever seen Ladyboys were involved in 90% of them. In fact every time I go to Nana Plaza in Bkk I specifically stay away from the LB area because they pull and push you just a little too hard, seemingly looking to get into a tussle with you... Sorry it that wasn't the percentage you were looking for but that's been my experience living here so far..

I have always found it very alarming when walking home late at night, after a few drinks, they grab at you. I am always very aware not to be rude or aggressive towards them. They do cause a lot of the trouble. Even if you have had a few drinks, you must use your common sense and live by the rule - never get into trouble with the Thai's. You will never come out of it well!

Just an aside to original post - Having met with many LB over the years on a PLATONIC basis, many can be actually good fun. A good tactic in the past was to send them off shopping or a manicure with your wife/GF and leave you in peace for the more important things in life

There are many many ladyboys who live their lives just like any other person and deserve to be respected as such.

Consider:

Haven't you ever heard of a bar fight before, and what percentage involved ladyboys?

The original post was of a concerned friend of the victim who deserves the facts he is searching for, not bigotry.
So if you want to be politically correct we should call them Lady's Of The Second Category.
They for me are deluded mixed up men that are emotionally and mentally screwed up on drink and drugs and to be avoided as can be very volatile when loaded.
They can be a source of amusement for newbies to look at nice legs, nice bitch tits, can't see his Adam's apple etc but the reality is its a bloke and the potential to be really dangerous .

Myself and my wife do know a really nice young LB called [Mod Edit] No names please and I am sure some of the locals in town will know her/him as was working in PP Bar, I would say [Mod Edit] No names please is an exception from my above comments and I am sure their will be others.

I'm very confused by these posts...
I was always of the understanding that 'ladyboys' very especially sexy Thai ladies for young boys like me.
Is this not the case?

one question for the op, is your friend here on holiday? if so does he not have holiday insurance? would have been quite an easy one to explain the wounds away as a bike accident, though the hospitals would probably just push it through on insurance anyway
Why try to make it look like a motorbike accident? As far as I'm aware most motorbike accidents are not covered by regular travel insurance.

Are you suggesting that injuries sustained from being beaten up whilst travelling abroad are NOT covered by insurance?
