El Toro Loco bar closed?

Post by Eiahhh » Wed Jun 21, 2017 5:55 am

Walked by El Toro Loco last night. It now says its closed. WHY? Did they go bankrupt or something? Is Stone Head Band playing anywhere else? I loved popping in for some great rock tunes.... :banghead:

I have heard that the whole Bintabaht block, Ponsook, Selakam are to be cleaned up. No more nightlife in that area, so businesses closing up. Maybe that's the reason. I'm pretty sure I saw the El Toro boss mention this on Facebook somewhere.

Both are equally terrifying."

I think I remember seeing a sign on Soi 80 for El Toro. Maybe they have relocated?

Maybe it's just because the town is dead at the moment?

Rumour has it that the real reason for closing & moving is nothing to do with a Bintabaat 'clean-up', & that another big bar close to El Toro may well be closing too.

Sadly, these awful rumours usually turn out to be true. Anybody else heard this one?

Yes, it’s true… El Toro Loco needs to move to another location. The ”cleaning up” in central town (live music bars, restaurants, etc) has now come to soi Bintabaht. When all the paper works and permission of the new location is settled, I will let you know where to find ”the new” El Toro Loco. WE WILL CONTINUE ”rock’n in a free world”! Stay tuned ;-).

Soooon you will find us @ soi 94 - El Toro Loco's new location. Hope you will follow/join us their! Stay tuned for more info :-).

Oh, wouldn't it be nice if plans were published letting us know why these things were happening/what the end game was?

I was there on sunday and they announced the clossing in Binta, but they were not sure were the would relocate at that moment, but they sound confident about finding a place.
They say it was because being to close to the tempel,so if that's the case it seems that most of binta would have to close to.

I saw a couple of guys in black rock band t-shirts photographing and measuring up a recently vacated venue earlier today so I'm guessing that is the place but I will leave it to Geko to announce the venue.
