El Toro Loco bar closed?

Seems to be some misunderstandings going on here.
Is the OP writing about an El Toro Loco or an El Toro (without the Loco)?

If he means the El Toro on Soi 80 then he is mistaken. It's alive here and open. I live around the corner of El Toro and have played few rounds of pool there the last two evenings. The band is still playing. The beer is still swilling. The staff a bit restless during a very slow low season.

On the other hand, if there is another El Toro (with Loco attached) and NOT on Soi 80 then we are speaking about 2 different venues. I'm not aware of the latter.

Smiles, the OP is talking about the bar on Bintabaht. You can see it on the Bintabaht bar map in this 'After Dark' section.

Just to clarify, El Toro Loco and El Toro are pretty much one and the same, owned and managed.
The one on Bintabaht has closed and will open again on soi 94 on July 21st.
In the meantime and until the venue at soi 94 is ready, the resident 'Stonehead Band' are playing at El Toro on soi 80.

Redzonerocker ... more I didn't know: that El Toro and El Toro Loco are owned by the same person.
Regarding the possible move to Soi 94 from Soi 80. Do you mean that the Soi 80 version will be shut down after this move?
If so, the only comment on that would be that the owner has already put in (what looked like) a huge amount of reno money into the Soi 80 location. The whole place was pretty well gutted and all sorts of new decoration was hauled in en masse. Seems a bit odd that the owner would put that amount of work and money into a place he intended to vacate fairly soon. I wonder whether he has decided to have two bars in two different locations ~ i.e. two El Toros, one being more Loco than the other.
On the other hand ... deep pockets cures all I suppose.

No, only the Bintabaht bar is closed permanantly, that will be directly replaced by soi 94.
Soi 80 will continue as before with other bands playing.
There is also the El Toro cafe bar on soi 80 opposite the main bar and they also have the 'Crazy Bull' bar which is in the late night area next to the Hilton and behind Mai Tai.

Not surprisingly work being carried out at the Soi 94 location to build a frontage wall to the building around the previous open air stage to close it off to stop the noise levels disturbing the rest of the area.

Thats great news! Allthough i dont really like the new location, as i never visit soi 94.
How is soi 94 nowadays?
Has it become a hotspot for nightlife? Is the the new location for the band a good one?
