Its usually around 2am although bars will generally try to stay open longer if they have customers. Was drinking in P&P until 5am last week

From 1st April the bars in Bangkok are being made to close at 1am,the police closed them all in Soi Cowboy, and tried at Nana.
I was wondering if its the same in Hua Hin?

There are a number of posts about it on the Nana web site, this is the latest:-
just a update
Patpong closed at 0200 last night. some bars (and me within) stayed open until after 0400. in SC i heard that the police has told some owners, that 0100 closing will stay. in some bars along Suk Soi 22 they have to close at midnight (!), some others in the backyard there stay open until 0200 .
this is another post:-OK, sorry to say that Soi Cowboy was shuttered thight as a drum tonight at 0100! It was a true rumour! Gutless cowards, sneaking a law up on folks to avoid democratic protests!!!!! Country Roads on Soi 19 was hopping at 0120 however. Other beer bars were also open along the way to NEP.

Story from a Cowboy bar owner who has interests at NEP was that the Lumpini MiB were there from 1200 onward, but did not shut the place down as was the intent. It seems that they got a large ration of shit from the beer bar girls outside NEP and just stood around not doing anything. I can confirm that NEP seemed to close at 0200 as masses of humanity and freelancers were on scene at 0215 when I arrived. And there were large amounts of MiB in the Nana Hotel carpark.

Thermae & the Wall of Shame were conspicuously NOT happening at 0100! What is the world coming to when these places are not packed at "rent payment time"?????

,i hope someone can please answer my original question,,,,about Hua Hin closing?

Gooner,

Nana is in the police district of Lumpini whilst the 'other side' of Asoke constitutes the boarder of the the Tong Lor Police district hence the different rules being applied Cowboy in particular. Bet you can get a late beer at Country Road !

ALL licenses for bars have a closing time of 1.a.m. on them as far as I am aware. Police have interpreted closing/last orders/drinking up time to their 'advantage' for many years. Things are a-changing.

Pattaya authorities have said publically they will NOT close at 1.am.

Tong Lor along 22 have been closing bars at midnight for some time now.

As for HH I believe from what the 'boys' there tell me they will go with the flow and do as they see fit. Don't forget HH is a 'special' district due to some of it's regular resident/visitors !

No 1am closing times being enforced here. All business as usual.

Unfortunately have to report that 1a.m. closing was enforced last night in the Nana area :?

However the police do not believe that it is a perm' feature ...

Now sure the believe/disbelieve but that is what was said this morning at 1:30 when they closed me down for the night.

Thanks for update Bangokny,i feared that was going to happen,it would not suprise me if Hua Hin went back to 12pm,as it was not so long ago,
i hope not as i like to go out late, but unlike some it would never put me off coming to Los.
